The Born Again Road Kill (BARK) series features figurative sculptures crafted from ‘accidental metals’ discovered on the streets of New York City. These unique works will be exhibited at NYCxDESIGNxSOUVENIR from May 15–21, 2025, as part of the 13-year-old NYCxDESIGN festival.

The BARK series includes two distinct versions: a limited edition of 10 bronze sculptures and 3D printed resin sculptures with a bronze surface. Each sculpture is available individually or as part of a set of three, offering flexible options for collectors.

In BARK, everyday mechanical parts—transformed by vehicular impacts—are reimagined as imaginative characters, blending their humble origins with new life. These pieces tell the story of discarded materials, elevated and reinterpreted as art.

As an urban archaeologist, I search the streets of New York for these forgotten treasures, reinterpreting them through a creative process that turns the trampled into something beautiful. This series invites viewers to recognize the hidden creative potential in their surroundings and to engage with urban transformation.
