“Temporal Flux” describes fluctuations or disturbances in the flow of time. Imagine time briefly speeding up or slowing down unpredictably. Understanding temporal flux could transform how we perceive time, impacting everything from physics to philosophy and possibly opening paths to time-based technologies.

Not a formal quantum physics term, but refers to time as a dynamic, malleable dimension. In both general relativity and some interpretations of quantum mechanics, time is not absolute—it can stretch, compress, or even become entangled with other properties like space and energy.

Time dilation, confirmed by atomic clocks on satellites and fast-moving jets, proves that time flows differently under varying conditions of speed and gravity. This is essential for GPS systems, which correct for these shifts to maintain accuracy. In quantum field theory, studies of time symmetry and decay processes help in designing precision timing instruments for communications, navigation, and cryptography.

Temporal flux reminds us that time is not a rigid ruler but a living current.

Understanding it helps us see memory, presence, and anticipation as flexible, overlapping dimensions. It nudges us to embrace a less linear, more layered view of experience and identity.

This not a quantum concept but it’s related to Quantum Decoherence which is the process by which a system loses its quantum behavior over time, effectively becoming classical (following the laws of classic physics). It relates to how time and observation collapse multiple possibilities into a single path.
