About the Exhibition
Techspressionism 2026: LA and Beyond is a groundbreaking exhibition exploring the intersection of technology and artistic expression through image and video. The exhibition features Techspressionist artist.
Techspressionism is often described as “Expressionism for the Digital Age,” Techspressionism emerged in response to the global shift into digital life, the rise of mobile tools empowering everyday creativity, and the expanding role of human–machine collaboration in art. You can read more on this website.
Both an archival print and a video were accepted into the show. The print is titled "Ring Toss" and the video is "Carnival."

Behind the Art
I grew up with the traveling carnival that arrived in my town each year, and the boardwalks of Asbury Park and later Coney Island. Those worlds run on games, prizes, a cacophony of sounds and fireworks, all captivating the senses. Carnival distills that energy into pure abstraction. Saturated color and looping motion hold the joy while releasing the literal imagery.
The video was made in Salon, a generative application I built with AI. Salon pairs a shape generator with a system of behaviors, so I set the parameters and then make aesthetic decisions in real time as the work unfolds. It brings the logic of design systems into my fine art practice, and it stays mine, evolving to serve whatever a given piece needs. Ring Toss, the companion print in this show, is drawn from the same visual world.
